Our Staff

Every facet of our program hinges on our staff.

Childcare staff will always be selected under the knowledge that they are highly capable professionals in the field of childcare. It is a regulation that a minimum of one forth of our staff have an Early Childhood Education Certificate.

Each staff member will follow guidelines as set out by the province and be educated in the New Brunswick curriculum framework. Our staff is offered ongoing professional development opportunities to better meet the needs of the children. They will have read and understood the Child Daycare Facility Standards, the Child Victims of Abuse and Neglects Protocols and the Management of Illness Booklet. They will also have a Criminal Record Check, Prior Contact Check and up to date First Aid Training.

CHILD/STAFF RATIOS

Centreville Child Care is provincially licensed and provides care for children from infant to age 12 years. The age grouping and ratios are as follows:

• Infant   1:3

• 2 years 1:5

• 3 years 1:7

• 4 years 1:10

• 5 – 12 years 1:15
